Betahistine is believed to work by reducing the asymmetrical functioning of sensory vestibular organs as well as by increasing vestibulocochlear blood flow which aids in decreasing symptoms of vertigo and balance disorders.
Domperidone is antiemetic agent used to treat nausea and vomiting.
Antiemetics - GIT regulators/Antiflatulents/Anti-inflammatories
Domperidone is prescribed for the management of:
• Dyspepsia
• Heartburn
• Epigastric pain
• Nausea
• Vomiting
As advised by the physician.
May be taken 15 to 30 minutes before meals.
It should be taken orally.
Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine-receptor blocker. It increases oesophageal peristalsis, enhances gastroduodenal coordination and lowers oesophageal sphincter pressure, gastric motility and peristalsis, thus facilitating gastric emptying and decreasing small bowel transit time.
Should be taken in patients having:
• Hypersensitivity
• Gastrointestinal haemorrhage
• Obstruction and perforation
• Patients with prolactin releasing pituitary hormone
• Renal or hepatic impairment
• Risk of cardiac arrhythmias and hypokalaemia
Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to Domperidone or any other drugs.
Hypersensitivity, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, obstruction and perforation, patients with prolactin releasing pituitary hormone
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Drowsiness
• Extrapyramidal reactions
• Galactorrhoea
• Gynaecomastia
• Constipation
• Diarrhoea
• Decreased libido
• Skin rash
• Itching
• Convulsions
• Arrhythmias and cardiac arrest
• Dysrrhythmias in patients with cardiac disease or hypokalaemia
If allergic to any food, please consult with the physician.
Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.
Pregnancy Category: C
Please consult with the physician during pregnancy and lactation..
Store between 15°C-30°C.
