Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. The PPI binds irreversibly to a hydrogen/potassium ATPaseenzyme (proton pump) on gastric parietal cells and blocks the secretion of hydrogen ions, which combine with chloride ions in the stomach lumen to form gastric acid. PPIs block secretion of hydrogen ions into the stomach.
Pantoprazole, a proton-pump inhibitor, works by decreasing the amount of acid produced in the stomach and is used in peptic ulcer disorders.
Antacid/Anti Reflux/Antiulcerant - Proton pump inhibitors
It is prescribed to treat Acid reflux, heartburn, ulcer.
As advised by your Physician.
• Take the tablet before a meal, at the same time every day.
• You should swallow the tablet whole with some water.
• Do not chew or break the tablet.
It should be taken orally.

Report to your Physician if the patients are allergic to that and any other drugs.
Precaution should be taken in case of having history with liver disease, kidney disease, gastric malignancy, risk factors for reduced vitamin B12 absorption or at risk for osteoporosis, hepatic impairment, in case of pregnancy & lactation, clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea.
Pantoprazole is contraindicated in case of lactation.
Contraindicated also if using rilpivirine and atazanavir.
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Headaches
• Joint pain
• Rash or other skin issues
• Anxiety
• Dizziness
• Constipation
• Severe diarrhea
• Malabsorption of nutrients
• Benign polyps in the stomach
If you allergic to any food, please consult with physician.
Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.
Pregnancy Category: C
Please consult with physician during lactation.
Store at Room temperature.
