Cyclobenzaprine binds to the serotonin receptor and is considered a 5-HT2 receptor antagonist that reduces muscle tone by decreasing the activity of descending serotonergic neurons.
Cyclobenzaprine, is a skeletal muscle relaxant, prescribed for pain and stiffness caused by muscle strains and sprains. It works by blocking nerve impulses.
Muscle relaxants
Cyclobenzaprine is prescribed in short term symptomatic treatment of muscle spasm, stiffness or discomfort caused by muscle injury.
As advised by the physician.
It should be taken orally.

Drug should not be given to patients having:
• Cardiac disease
• Epilepsy
• Hepatic impairment
• Hyperthyroidism
• Pheochromocytoma
Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to the active ingredients or any other drugs.
Recent MI, arrhythmias, severe liver disease.
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Antimuscarinic effects
• Neurological adverse effects
• Gastrointestinal disorders
• Orthostatic hypotension
• Tachycardia
• Hypersensitivity reactions
If allergic to any food, please consult with the physician.
Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.
Pregnancy Category: B
Please consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
Store at room temperature.
