Baclofen works as a direct agonist at GABA-B receptors. The exact mechanism of action is not fully known. It probably works by inhibiting both monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes in the spinal cord by acting as inhibitory neuronal transmitter or by blocking excitatory synaptic transmission through hyperpolarisation of afferent terminals.

Precautions

Inform the physician if the patient is allergic to the active ingredients and any other drugs. Brief about the allergy and the signs like:
• Rash
• Itching
• Shortness of breath
• Swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat or any other signs.

The patient should tell the doctor about any history of
• Psychotic disorders
• Schizophrenia
• Confessional states
• Parkinson's disease
• Cerebrovascular or respiratory insufficiency
• Autonomic dysreflexia
• Gastro duodenal ulcers
• Pre-existing sphincter hypertonia
• Renal and hepatic impairment Caution should be taken in elderly and children
Do not drive, use machinery or do any activity that requires alertness until the surety of performing such activities safely.

Contraindications of Baclosev-10 Tablets

Hypersensitivity, active peptic ulcer disease

Side Effects

Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Sedation
• Drowsiness
• Ataxia
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Confusion
• Hallucinations
• Skin reactions
• GI symptome
• Enuresis
• Respiratory or cardiovascular depression
• Seizures

Food to Avoid

If allergic to any food, please consult with the physician.

Alcohol Interaction

Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.

Pregnancy / Lactation Protocol

Pregnancy Category: C
During lactation, please consult with the physician.

Store at 20°C-25°C.-Oral preparation
