How to Take

According to dosage form Thiocolchicoside is usually taken by the following route:
• Oral route
• Intravenous route

How it Works

Thiocholchicoside is a muscle relaxing agent that works through selective binding to the GABA-A receptor. It prevents muscle contractions by activating the GABA inhibitory motor pathway. It also has an affinity for the inhibitory glycine receptors (i.e., have glycomimetic and GABA mimetic activity), therefore acts as a muscle relaxant.

• Epileptic or have a risk of seizures
• Diarrhea during the administration of this product

Contraindications of Thiocolchicoside

Contraindicated in following condition:
• Flaccid paralysis
• Muscular hypotonia

Side Effects

Mild:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
Serious:
• Drowsiness
• Skin rash
• Low blood pressure, a temporary blur of consciousness
• Swelling of the arms, legs, ankles, face, lips, or mouth, throat so that it causes difficulties in breathing or swallowing.
• Itching, swelling of the mucous membranes (angioneurotic edema)
• Fainting (vasovagal syncope)

Food to Avoid

If you are allergic to any food, please consult with the physician.
• Avoid alcohol
• Do not take with milk
• Take with food

Alcohol Interaction

Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.

Etoricoxib, a selective cycloxygenase (Cox-2) inhibitor, used in treating bone and joint inflammation, gout.

How to Take

According to the dosage forms the following routes of administration are available:
• Oral
• Parenteral

How it Works

Etoricoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor primarily responsible to reduce mediators of pain and inflammation. Its action is due to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis via inhibition of COX-2.

Precautions

Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to the active ingredients and any other drugs. This includes:
• Telling about the history of current stomach ulcer or bleeding in stomach or intestines
• Serious liver disease
• Serious kidney disease

Contraindications of Etoricoxib

Inflammatory bowel disease, severe congestive heart failure, active peptic ulceration, cerebrovascular disease, lactation, children, adolescent < 16 years

Side Effects

Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Heartburn
• Indigestion
• Uncomfortable feeling or pain in the stomach
• Diarrhoea
• Swelling of the legs
• Ankles or feet
• High blood pressure
• Dizziness
• Headache
